KHAN

And you’re here today regarding your
application for leader of the world.
KHAN
That’s right.
HR
Good, Good, well, as you know, we’ve
received a lot of interest in the post
and, looking at your work history you
are clearly a strong candidate of the
role, we just wanted to bring you in
to discuss some suitability issues.
Dot some eyes, cross some tees, put
some flesh on the bone so to speak.
KHAN
Of course, I completely understand.
HR
Any trouble finding the place?
KHAN
There was a bit of traffic.
HR
Sure, Sure. Well, now, if we can begin.
Can you tell me, in your own words,
why you feel you are right for the
role?
KHAN
Well, I’ve always been a go getter,
ever since I was a child; I knew I was
right. I understand that, in terms of
subjective reality, everything alive
with a brain feels exactly the same
way; when a bird eats a worm, the bird
feels it is right to do so. Had the
worm had a say in it, it would have
most assuredly disagreed.
The world spins around, the bird has
the responsibility of explaining to
the worm what is fair.
I have always been the bird.
HR
U’huh. Can you give me an example of
that?
KHAN
Sure, sure, take my brother, for
example; a few years older than me,
I can see why he thought he might
have naturally presumed he would just
inherit the role, I tried to tell him
that, in this case, he was wrong but
he persisted in the argument of
succession while espousing a more
equal and just society.
He could not see the hypocrisy in it.
In the end, I found it was not
sufficient to just explain what it is
to be the bird. I had to demonstrate.
HR
I see. With regards to your future
plans for…
KHAN
(interrupts)
It will come to me.
HR

You are, of course, aware that this

KHAN
I am.

KHAN
