Large Format

The comparison of image quality between shooting on 5×4 film and digital can be anywhere between 100 and 300 megapixels, however, this may be the least useful incentive for working in ‘Large Format’. Wildly impractical by todays standards, the process of creating images in this way demands that all the original principals of photography must be adhered to.

The Wista Field 45DX has all the romance of photography from a bygone era. With a body constructed from rosewood and brass, the camera itself is a thing of beauty. Working with this camera is a patient, almost meditative, experience where skill meets art in the pursuit of creating the perfect image in the moment.
