The Nunhead Reservoir is famous for two things, spectacular views of London and, for decades, the tacit consensus of the local community to condone and endorse trespassing on private land. Thames Water have never been thrilled with the constant intrusions of pick-nick goers and in 2016 installed high security fencing around the site. The ‘Friends of Nunhead Reservoir’ campaign group have been trying to reinstate access for many years, to no avail.
