On May the first 2011, Network Rail held it’s breath for twenty four hours as the engineering intricacy of pushing prefabricated railway structure at four centimetres an hour was going to take at least a minute.
Yes, there was a lot of men standing around in orange jackets but it was worth every second.

Poker Face; the evolution of the ‘Winners and Losers’ project. Turns out, without money involved, nobody cared about the outcome.
This time visitors to the exhibition had to pay to play!
‘Subject’s’ are invited to buy a self portrait.
The subject can pay any amount for their own portrait, starting from one penny.
The subject and photographer then cut a deck of cards and photograph who wins!

Winners and Losers was a live, performative photoshoot, part of the Sanctuary Arts exhibition at Greenwich market. Visitors to the gallery were asked to pose for a portrait where they cut a deck of cards with the photographer, where the highest card ‘wins’. In the moment where both participants reveal their card, the photographer takes the portrait, capturing the the emotions of the win or the loss.
